Feel the Squishy Craft-Love!

Wow, I have a new love, the website Etsy (be careful, once you open Pandora's Box there is NO going back! OH BOY!) which helps talented individuals sell their crafty goodies to the general public. All of the super fab members of the Burlington Craft Mafia sell on Etsy and so do funky cool peeps from all over the world!

Seriously, the zillions of amazing handmade items on this website are tasty, super fresh and irresistible! I am drooling as we speak (must control my gushing)! Etsy has a blog called Etsy's Garden and they plugged my recent Stuck in Vermont Burlington Craft Mafia video there (whose hits have shot up to 40,000+ due to some random YouTube feature that I can't track!?). The video comments from other crafters are all very sweet, many of them loving Colin Clary's all too perfect song, "Some of My Favorite People Are Consigners." Feel the love!

And a shout out full of love to the Austin Craft Mafia who also plugged the BCM video on their blog and said: I just all around felt warm and squishy and happy and proud watching it!

I feel all warm and squishy after reading all these amazing mentions and comments (must control my gushing!!). Seriously, the crafting world is a wonderous place and I only wish they let videographers/editors into it! When I stay up all night editing little bits of video into itty bitty segments, it is a lot like knitting actually. Utilizes the same obsessive, methodical and tenacious parts of my brain.

And similarly, editing calms my nerves and leaves me with a big sense of relief when I am finished with a project. And even though I do not get to see people walking around wearing my creations, I get to read cool video comments about how my "yarns" affect people. Ah well, I will be a crafter by proxy. Viva la Austin and Burlington Craft Mafias and Etsy! My gushing ends now...
