Stuck in Vermont 85: Phantom Theater

6/21/08:
For the past 15 years Phantom Theater (Facebook) has been producing original, fearless material in the Edgecomb Barn.

All-Purpose Dance Company performed original modern dance pieces to kick off the Phantom summer season.

There was no thunderstorm but a barn cat did make a brief appearance.  Also in attendance, a multitude of moths and bats.

Deadly Dentists

This morning I was lying upside down and prone for 6 hours with my mouth gaping open as I was prodded, poked, pulled, yanked, cut and messed with, often almost choking on my own blood and spit.

"Pardon me, is that your elbow in my eyeball?"

"I am drowning in blood...gurgle, gurgle."

"That is not a good sound, is that a chainsaw you are putting in my mouth?"

"Hmm, how many hands can fit in one person's mouth??"

"WHSY YESSS, STRHSDJNGE WEATHMIGER, I DNKNOHW."
[Translation: Yes, what strange weather." ]
[What I am really thinking: "I cannot respond to your unimportant question. Your hands are stuffed in my mouth along with many sharp instruments."]

After 6 solid hours of this torture, I felt much like the gent in this Bacon painting. Mouth numb from repeated injections of general anesthesia, hands numb from clenching, ears numb from huge headphones blaring loud music, brain frazzled beyond repair.

Calgon, TAKE ME AWAY!

I know dentists are not inherently evil. I know they are trying to help me and give me a nice smile. Maybe I just need to find the inner peace to deal with this torture?

NOT. Instead, I am betting on Armageddon so I can fit in fine with the other toothless circus freaks. Hell yeah!

Love and Break Ups

Two sides, one coin.

Love montage is from DBC6:

Breaking Up 101 is from DBC28 [it also has a montage at the end]:

DBC29 Posted

Today was a good day. Rode the ferry across the lake, watched the news get taped live 3x, stood in front of Tom Messner's green screen (!?!) and played weather girl. Then home for a Flatbread brownie sundae reward.

Now, back to work.

DBC29 (January 2007) posted on Blip in which Suzanne Monroe tries to take over The Deadbeat Club. AS IF! ;)

Austin Babes

Slowly but surely I rebuild The Deadbeat Club empire on Blip TV, waiting with baited breath for the Copyright PoPo to come and take me away again...

Above are some hot Jane Austin babes, just in time for summer ladies.

Uh Oh

I just got Burlington Telecom and made the unwise choice of buying cable TV. It is all over for me now. I have upwards of 150 channels. My brain is in for a real jello treat.

These are post-storm sky pics from the crazy thunderstorms we have been having. I love this cool stormy weather. Heat is great and all but dark and tumultuous skies are so much better.

Stuck in Vermont 84: Rene Kirby

6/14/08: Rene Kirby is a self-proclaimed "gimp without a whimp."  He has never let his small stature detract from his active lifestyle.

Rene (said, "REEN") never wastes time complaining.  Whether he is getting around on all fours or using his specially tailored bike, he feels better constructed than the "normies."

Rene was a star gymnast in high school and also drives, rides horses, boats, welds, does home improvements and plays a variety of sports.

Rene has always been a local VT celebrity but he gained international attention for his role in the Farrelly brothers film, "Shallow Hal."  He has fans all over the world who admire his upbeat attitude.

Stuck in Vermont 83: Walk for the Animals

6/8/08: Dogs of all shapes and sizes took their owners for a walk Sunday to raise money for the Chittenden Humane Society.

Aided by gallons of ice cream and ice water, hundreds of canines and friends went for a stroll despite the sweltering temperatures.

The 14th Annual Walk for Animals raised $57,000 for the Humane Society of Chittenden County.

Stuck in Vermont 82: Green Mountain Derby Dames

5/28/08: Fishnet burns, school girl skirts, roller skates and body slams - just another day in the life of the newly formed Green Mountain Derby Dames.

Eva caught up with the high octane ladies at their Higher Ground fundraiser, Hell on Hot Wheelz, to find out what makes a derby dame tick.

Creepy Crawly

Crawford found a house centipede wandering around my bedroom so I caught him and relocated him outdoors. But first I made a video (below).

Turns out they are great housemates who live for years and eat up bugs. Had I known this sooner, I probably would have a new pet right now:

In captivity, house centipedes feed readily on cockroach nymphs, flies, moths, bedbugs, crickets, silverfish, earwigs, and other insects and small spiders. They capture prey by half pouncing and half lassoing them. They can capture several prey items at one time. They feed on one specimen while holding the others with their quivering, lashing appendages (Lewis 1981).

You know what is super nice? Sleeping in, drinking tea and reading the Sunday New York Times. Close to heaven in my book.
