Fun with Chandeliers

The round barn at Shelburne Museum just got a wee bit swankier. Check out their chandelier show, aptly entitled Chandelirious!, and if you are lucky, you will even meet the chipmunks who call the barn home.

I had no idea the Shelburne Museum was doing all these interesting contemporary art and culture thingies (I followed the link to the website).

I'm so ignorant. Thank you for showing me so much cool, important stuff.

Yeah, it surprised me as well but their new director, Stephan, has some exciting new exhibits that you might not imagine at Shelburne Museum.

Look for a Stuck in VT about their eBay show is a couple of weeks (editing it as we speak!).

I like the sound of this show:

My Bad – It’s All Good: The Designs of Jason Miller exhibits recent work by the acclaimed Brooklyn-based designer. Miller applies his flair for the unexpected and sense of humor to celebrating the imperfections of cherished household objects. The results include pieces such as Duct Tape Chair (2004) and Beautifully Broken Glasses (2003).

We have a duct tape chair - the only problem is, it leaves sticky stuff on you when you get up. Ugh.
