Video Memories

During mini-editing breaks, I uploaded some old Deadbeat Club content to Blip. Man, this brings me back. Makes me miss Travis and Keith and Mountain View Cemetery VERY much. Makes me ache a bit:

Oh and it also makes me miss Jake and Margaret, who are both dead now.

Also uploaded:

DBC Villain MOntage

Tortured Artists 1
Tortured Artists 2 (the MOntage)
Running Wild

While we were shooting Running Wild, a crowd gathered to watch us dancing around the Merritt tomb. They applauded when we were done and we felt like movie stars...in a cemetery.

Despite all my procrastinating, I managed to get a solid first draft of the ad I have been slaving away at. Will they like it? Time will tell.

I miss you Keith and Travis!!! No one dances in cemeteries with me anymore!

Wow, I don't remember ever seeing that one. Shall I look into booking you at the Plush Room for the next time you're in town? I know you'd pack them in. What a sweet tribute to Jake and Margaret. I have almost identical footage of Ralph and Nancy admiring their flowers in front of their stone accented home. Did they live in the Midwest too?

YES PLEASE! Only if you perform with me!!

That footage always confused me. It is so odd and staged. They are just casually outside examining their flowers and showing off their home. "We do this all the time, la dee da!"

And you know the really sad thing? In all the footage and pictures I have of my grandparents there is not ONE where they are touching or showing any physical affection. I hope Ralph and Nancy were luckier in that regard.

And yes, Jacob and MArgaret were born in Switzerland but lived in Iowa where they raised my dad.

And you know what they say about the mid-western farmer? He loved his wife so dearly that he once very nearly told her.

Eeek.

Ralph and Nancy lived in St. Louis, so they were just down the road or down the Mississippi. They moved there from Quebec, and there are plenty of pictures of them hugging and kissing. You know zee French are. Oh, and we do have plenty of home movies of them looking at and showing off their roses, tulips and stone fireplace.
